Hamilton Stern is excited to welcome two new employees to the team: Laura Lang, Controller, and Joe Rubach, Project Foreman.
Laura joins us after spending the past eight years in public accounting, including the last three years as an Audit Manager. Through her work with several construction companies, she developed extensive financial expertise and a strong understanding of the industry. Laura is excited to bring her experience to our team while gaining a new perspective by being directly involved in the day-to-day operations of the business. We are thrilled to welcome Laura and look forward to the valuable contributions she will make to our organization.
Joe brings a diverse background in the construction trades, including four years of self-employed experience installing doors and windows. Before that, he developed valuable hands-on expertise as a mechanic and honed his craftsmanship through custom cabinetry and fine carpentry. This well-rounded experience gives him a strong eye for quality and attention to detail. When asked what he enjoys most about construction, Joe shared that it’s watching the daily progress unfold and seeing all the small details come together to create the finished product. Joe is joining our team in Buffalo on The Nest project. We’re excited to have him on board and look forward to the contributions he’ll make to the team.
Speaking of growth, it’s not just our team that’s expanding. We recently celebrated a groundbreaking ceremony at The Nest, marking an exciting new chapter for the project.
Developed by Community Services for Every1, The Nest is a six-story development that will provide 73 new affordable and market-rate apartments for individuals and families. Hamilton Stern Construction Principal Chris Stern said, “This project reflects the power of strong partnerships and a shared commitment to strengthening opportunities for residents, families, and the broader community … we are proud to help build a project that will strengthen and support the Niagara Falls area.”
Between welcoming new team members and breaking ground on exciting projects like The Nest, it’s been a busy and rewarding season at Hamilton Stern.
