Hamilton Stern Construction Celebrates Grand Opening of Persimmon Place
On Friday, May 16, 2025, Hamilton Stern Construction joined Monroe County and City of Rochester officials among countless other members of our community to celebrate the grand opening of the YWCA of Rochester & Monroe County’s Persimmon Place on Ardmore Street in Rochester.
The transitional facility for mothers and children seeking emergency family housing helps provide a place of respite and access to vital resources to help them move from homelessness to long-term stability. As the construction manager on the project, Hamilton Stern helped transform a 6,500 square foot dwelling into a home-like environment with 12 living spaces and amenities including a full kitchen, playroom, and outdoor playground for children. The project is part of a 20-year renovation plan for the YWCA of Rochester and Monroe County.
