Exciting News! Hamilton Stern Announces New Projects in Full Swing
Hamilton Stern Construction is excited to announce several new projects that are in full swing this summer. These projects further add to our robust portfolio and represent our dedication to become a leader in the construction industry, recognized for our unwavering commitment to our clients while striving to create long-term partnerships and consistently delivering exceptional results.
Here’s a glimpse at our new projects:
Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter School (EMHSC) – Rochester, NY
The project includes the renovation of the current middle school, the transformation of the existing church into a three-story ninth grade academy, the construction of a new 2 story 10th – 12th grade high school, and a new Section Five gymnasium. When complete, six hundred 7th – 12th grade students will experience a modern connected campus while pursuing their bi-lingual education and a high school diploma. Utilizing a design-build approach in partnership with SWBR, we are excited to bring our expertise and passion for construction to help EMHCS expand its mission and serve more students. This project represents a significant milestone for the company as the most sizable education project in contract value in Hamilton’s Stern history. The expansion is expected to be complete in 2026.
K-9 Pet Resorts – Greece & Penfield, NY
Hamilton Stern is managing the build out and retrofit of two locations—Greece and Penfield—into a luxury dog boarding and daycare facility. K9 Resorts is a national franchise pet hotel moving into the Rochester area. When complete, the two locations will offer modern, medical-grade facilities with a five-star hotel experience for dogs. The renovation at each location is slated to take six months with an expected grand opening for the Greece location sometime in early fall.
RIT Wallace Library Classroom Modification – Rochester, NY
We are modifying 21 classrooms at RIT’s Wallace Library. From interior updates, relocation of teacher stations to outfitting classrooms with TV displays, this is one of several projects we have been awarded at RIT over the last few years. The modification will be complete before students return for this fall.
Norman Howard School Teaching Kitchen – Rochester, NY
Hamilton Stern was selected to complete the Teaching Kitchen renovation at Norman Howard School. Partnering with Plan Architecture Studio, the project will provide a modern facility for students with new cabinetry, countertops, appliances, flooring, and finishes. With an accelerated construction schedule, the Teaching Kitchen will be open to students when they return in September.
Persimmon Place – Rochester, NY
This complete exterior and interior renovation for YWCA of Rochester and Monroe County will transform Persimmon Place—a 6,700-sf building—into a 12 unit, 30 bed safe haven for the homeless. Along with the complete remodel of the interior, the building will receive all new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work, including an energy-efficient heating system, windows, and insulation. Hamilton Stern is honored to have been awarded this community-focused project that will provide a family emergency shelter and expand the services of YWCA. Persimmon Place is anticipated to be complete in spring 2025.
