Persimmon Place

We completed this emergency shelter for the community, named Persimmon Place, on behalf of the YWCA of Rochester & Monroe County on Ardmore Street in Rochester. This project included transforming a 6,500-square-foot dwelling into a home-like environment with 12 living spaces and amenities, including a full kitchen, playroom, and outdoor playground for children. The transitional facility for mothers and children seeking emergency family housing helps provide a place of respite and access to vital resources to help them move from homelessness to long-term stability.
