LaFrance Apartments

Hamilton Stern built this ground-up affordable housing building in the City of Elmira, NY. The apartment building has three floors and a total of 37 units. Each one-bedroom one-bath unit contains a kitchen, living, and dining area. The building also has a resident community room. The project earned a LEED certification of Gold. Funding came through several sources, such as NYSHCR, Historical Tax Credits, Restore NY, and the Downtown Revitalization Initiative.
